During this time we tried and tested a variety of end tank designs, boost pipe connectors as well as both a tube-and-fin and a bar-and-plate core.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe finished design we chose for optimum performance features 3\" formed inlet and outlet pipes that flow freely through custom end tanks into a huge, 110mm deep bar-and-plate core capable of 1,500bhp. The design makes full use of the vehicle's lower grille area and features an angled air deflector to further aid flow.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eIt therefore offers a huge increase in surface area and volume over standard, and radically reduces charge temperatures, which is ideal for tuned GT-Rs running increased boost pressures.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe kit fits neatly behind the original bumper but does require modification to the original plastic intercooler surround.
